During the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Turkey, on March 8, an Agreement was signed in Istanbul between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on the establishment of a system for the electronic exchange of pre-arrival information on goods and vehicles moving between the parties.
Over the past year, the State Customs Service has been actively working on the preparation of this Agreement and the development of technical specifications for it. According to the agreement, the customs authorities of both countries will create a system of electronic exchange of preliminary information, which will help speed up the movement of goods and vehicles across borders, reduce the impact of the human factor and counteract customs offenses.
This innovative data exchange system will facilitate better risk analysis and ensure efficient information exchange between the State Customs Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of Trade of Turkey. The practical implementation of this agreement through automated information exchange will begin in the near future.
