Customs сlearance of branded сlothing: a сase study of сooperation between Daleth Group and Ekol Logistics

Introduction

In international trade, the speed and accuracy of customs clearance play a crucial role. Even minor delays at the border can lead to disrupted delivery schedules, financial losses, and complications in supply chains.

As part of the partnership between Daleth Group and Ekol Logistics, a project for importing branded clothing into Ukraine was successfully implemented.

Ekol Logistics handled the organization of international transportation and coordination of cargo delivery, while the Daleth Group team provided expertise in customs support and clearance. This cooperation ensured seamless coordination at all stages of the supply chain and uninterrupted logistics operations.

About the Client

Ekol Logistics is a logistics operator that delivers comprehensive and customized solutions for complex tasks. The company offers integrated services ranging from transportation and warehousing to process coordination, analytics, and optimization of the entire logistics ecosystem.

Within this project, Ekol was responsible for organizing the transportation of branded clothing to Ukraine and coordinating the delivery route.

Customs support and clearance were provided by the Daleth Group team, which has extensive experience in foreign economic operations and professional customs services.

Challenges and Project Specifics

Importing branded clothing involves several specific challenges that require a precise and professional approach to customs clearance.

The key challenges of the project included:

Accurate product classification

The shipment included various categories of clothing and accessories. Each item required correct classification under the HS (UKT ZED) code, which directly affects customs duties and clearance procedures.

Verification of accompanying documentation

For fashion goods, it is essential to ensure full compliance of invoices, packing lists, and other documents with customs requirements.

Customs value control

Since the goods are branded products, customs authorities may pay increased attention to the declared value.

Adherence to delivery deadlines

Seasonality plays a significant role in the fashion industry, so any delays in customs clearance can impact distribution schedules.

Solution

The Daleth Group team provided full customs support for the shipment, working in close cooperation with Ekol Logistics.

Daleth specialists conducted a preliminary analysis of the accompanying documentation, verified product classification, and prepared a complete set of documents for customs clearance.

Additionally, Daleth Group provided consulting support regarding the declaration of branded clothing, helping to avoid common documentation errors.

Thanks to effective communication between Daleth Group and Ekol Logistics, all stages of the process from transportation to customs clearance were well coordinated and completed within the planned timeframe.
