The State Customs Service of Ukraine continues to digitize customs procedures to ensure maximum convenience for citizens and businesses. On April 18, the Order of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine No. 6 dated January 4, 2023 “On the Clearance of International Postal and Express Parcels and Approval of Amendments to the Procedure for Filling in Customs Declarations in the Form of a Single Administrative Document” comes into force.
Today, the State Customs Service of Ukraine introduces the possibility of self-declaration of express shipments by citizens in their Personal Account on the Single Window for International Trade web portal by submitting an electronic customs declaration M-16. This can be done directly from your smartphone in any convenient place!
Thanks to preliminary information from express operators, citizens can easily declare shipments worth up to EUR 10,000 and pay customs duties in just a few clicks.
A number of service functions have been implemented to simplify the process:
- Automatic filling of most of the declaration columns;
- Machine translation of product names and information into Ukrainian;
- Selection of the product code according to the Ukrainian Classification of Goods for Foreign Economic Activity in many cases;
- Automatic calculation of taxes;
- Auto-completion of missing details for users who have previously used the service.
After submitting the M-16 declaration, which must be signed using the QES or Diia.Signature, you can conveniently pay the accrued customs duties via a QR code from the banking application, which is generated if the value of the goods exceeds 150 euros and is subject to taxation.
You can track the status of shipment clearance and the receipt of paid funds at customs online through your Personal Account.
The State Customs Service continues to work on transferring the interaction of business and citizens with customs into an electronic format in accordance with the best European practices to ensure convenience and efficiency in customs procedures.
